RADIOISOTOPESRADIOISOTOPES has been published by the Japan Isotope Association (JRIA) since 1952 and renewed as an online, open-access, peer-reviewed journal in 2022.
The journal accepts manuscripts from a wide range of research areas related to radioisotopes, stable isotopes, and radiation, as various manuscript types such as articles, reviews, notes, reports, and commentaries.

This journal is indexed within databases such as Web of Science, SciFindern, and Research Gate. Both members and non-members of JRIA can submit the manuscript with free submission fees and page charges.
The journal can be accessed via its official website (member-only) or the free database of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (J-STAGE) from the first issue in 1952.

After publication online, articles also appear in printed issues. The printed journal publishes three purchasable print issues each year. For more information, please contact the Editorial Office for RADIOISOTOPES shown below.

Manuscript Submission

The authors should read Instructions to Authors and Notes for Manuscript Preparation before preparing manuscripts.

  1. Authors should fill out and submit the submission form.
  2. The submission form is accompanied with
    (a)a manuscript prepared with the template
    (b)a PDF file of Tables, Schemes, followed by Figures in order
    (c)a checklist for the manuscript

Research Promotion Award

Authors below 36 years of age on the date of receipt of the manuscript can apply for the RADIOISOTOPES Research Promotion Award for Young Scientists.

Outline for Research Promotion Award

1. Name
RADIOISOTOPES Research Promotion Award for Young Scientist
2. Purpose:
Research activities related to isotopes and radiation should be transferred smoothly to the researchers of younger generations. Thus, to discover and foster human resources, young researchers who have published a manuscript promising future success in RADIOISOTOPES are selected and presented with an Encouragement Award to encourage their further activities.
3. Subjected Manuscript
A manuscript published online in RADIOISOTOPES as an article, note, or a preliminary report from April of the prior award year to March of the award year.
4. Eligibility for Application
The applicant should be the first author of the manuscript under 36 years old on the date of receiving the manuscript. However, those who have received this prize before are excluded.
5. How to apply
Self-recommendation or recommendation is required for application. An applicant must submit the application form after the publication of the manuscript.
6. Selection
The Editorial Board of the RADIOISOTOPES selected the candidates for the award, and the President of the Association determined the recipients.
7. Commendation
Awards will be presented at the "Isotope and Radiation Research Meeting". The winners will also receive a certificate from the President and a commemorative gift.
8. Others
The detailed regulations for implementing the award shall be determined by the separately established by laws.
