The Kaya Memorial Takizawa Laboratory

    

Radiopharmaceuticals are today indispensable to medical treatment, that makes also an adequate system of collection, treatment and storage of medical radioisotope wastes is also absolutely necessary. The Kaya Memorial Takizawa Laboratory was built in 1987 in order to meet that need. It was named in commemoration of Dr. Seiji Kaya, the first president of the Japan Radioisotope Association, who devoted long years of his life to the development of use of radioisotopes in Japan.
