Nishina Memorial Cyclotron Center (NMCC)

We produce radioisotopes using a small cyclotron in order to study topics such as the PET diagnosis of cancers. Furthermore, we are also conducting studies on Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) analysis in which the simultaneous analysis of trace multi-elements in samples is carried out at high sensitivity using particles accelerated by the small cyclotron.

The NMCC is a shared research facility available for use by all researchers, nationwide, and the results obtained from these studies are published.
